I’ve found myself reading a number of articles lately about architecture and construction, this one comparing the Empire State Building built in 1931 and the World Trade Center built in 1970 was particularly interesting. It digs into things like how the developers of the Empire State Building had no previous development experience, its unique construction process, and the economic viability of each building.
